34H cup - approximately how much breast tissue will be removed?

Question

From what I gather, OHIP covers breast reductions, but won't let you pick a size, and instead has a ratio in mind. My bust is 39½", underbust is 33", waist is 32" and hips are 38". I'm 5'8 and 157 pounds, and I wear a 34H bra. What would be a good ratio? I know my breasts are too large; I have several symptoms from it. I'm wondering if I could get at least a rough estimate of how much would be removed? I lost 70 pounds to get smaller breasts but unfortunately it mostly came off other areas.

At size 34, each 100 grams removed corresponds to 1 cup size change.  Insurance companies usually require a minimum of 500 grams removed and that would take you down to a size C.  The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method.  This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief without excessive reduction.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

There is typically a minimum amount of breast tissue that is required for the procedure to be covered by insurance.  From your description you seem to be a good candidate for breast reduction.  The best place to begin is a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to discuss your surgical goals and learn more about the procedure.

breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts.
