I had a 20% salicylic peel almost three weeks ago, and my face remains super red. The dr put me on a desonide cream treatment and I've been using it twice daily for 10 days with no changes in the redness. I'm very discouraged and hate the way my skin looks, it looks like I had a horrible sunburn on my face! When could I expect this to go away? And will the sun make it worse or permanent? (I'm going on vacation in Florida and will be in the sun a lot).

Answer: Melarase PM and Elevase Moisture Booster to soothe a chemical peel burn
I would use Elevase Moisture Booster on the areas twice daily and make sure there is no inadvertent sun exposure that may cause it to pigment. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
Hi,thanks for your question.I would suggest dermaroller would be good solution for your concern but by a dermatologist. He can also teach you the correct way to get rid of your scars. Pls treasure your face as anything done in an improper manner may worsen your facial skin.
