Can I drink ginger tea after a BBL and tummy tuck?

I have my patients STOP ALL sources of Vitamin E, e.g., Vitamin E pills, multivitamins, Slim Fast Ensure Plus, ALL HERBS, e.g. Ginko, Garlic, Ginseng, Natural or health preparations e.g. bee’s pollen, protein powders, etc. 1 week before surgery. Every plastic surgeon has their own postoperative protocol for the type of procedure patients. In my practice, patients are allowed to have ginger tea at 2 weeks, in low quantities, post-surgery to allow with the help of digestion etc.

All blood thinners must be stopped prior to surgery. We provide our patients an extensive list 100+ products that include certain fruits, supplements, vitamines, etc. that should not be taken during the peri-operative period. Ginger is another supplement that must not be ingested.
