I have a keloid that developed on my ear cartilage area years ago after the piercing became infected, and I kept trying to "re-pierce" it by pushing the earring back in the opening. I just a steroid shot to reduce it, but I was wondering, once it flattens a bit more, can I ever get another piercing there. I have two standard piercings on both my ears & my navel that have never formed keloids,so I'm not sure if I am truly prone to keloid formation or if that was from repeated irritation .
