Can I have caffeine before and after Botox?

Caffeine is a stimulant and; hence, will stimulate all the nerves in your body.  You may find the Botox injections, which are usually easy, more uncomfortable. So, wait until you have had Botox contouring to drink your large cup of caffeine.

The drinking of caffeine is not contraindicated either before or after Botox injections.  You might however, want to avoid substances that thin the blood and increase the chance of bruising.

No, caffeine before or after your Botox won't negatively impact your results. Keep in mind, it takes 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. To my knowledge there is no contraindication to drinking coffee or other caffeinated beverages before or after Botox. The only restrictions I give my patients is to avoid aspirin and over the counter anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen to reduce the risk of bruising. Technically, if you drink a lot of green tea, there is a slightly increased risk of bruising and bleeding, but it is not due to caffeine. I ask my patients who are about to have surgery to cut down on green tea. Other post Botox instructions I give my patients are not to exercise heavily the day of treatment and avoid hot shower to the face. No rubbing or massaging of treated areas and not to lay down for 4 hours. Hope this answers your question.

Thank you for your question.  My advice is to avoid asprin and ibuprophen products prior to injection in order to reduce the risk of bruising.  Caffeine before or after Botox injections is fine.  Best of luck.

I do not ask patients to withold caffiene use for botox.  I don't think there would be any interaction.

Yes, you can have caffeine before and after Botox injections. There are no contraindications.

There should not be any restrictions for caffeine either before or after botox. However, if you are drinking one during treatment, you should make sure that you bring a cup for your injector :)

Consumption of Caffeine will not affect your botox treatment. You can consume caffeine before and after without affecting your botox results.
