A derm PA let me know that what looked like a large blackhead on the side of my nose (middle of alar groove) is a hidrocystoma, and that it would need to be surgically removed in order to be resolved. How would a plastic surgeon generally remove something like this - with some sort of laser, or a scalpel, or something else? Should I seek out a surgeon who works in a particular sub-specialty, and what would that sub-specialty be? Thank you!
