Diluting or undiluted hyaluronidase for dissolving Voluma?

I had 2CC of voluma in my cheeks and cheekbones. I am trying to get it dissolved. Is it better to diluted the hyaluronidase with saline or not? My injector did half hyaluronidase vitrase half Saline. Would that work? Please let me know your thoughts

I like to use an insulin syringe to inject very small aliquots into the area to be treated. Doing this over multiple visits is the safest way to do it. If you inject too much of dilute it and let it diffuse out of the treatment area, you can get wrinkly skin from dissolving your natural hyaluronic acid.

It is best to use the manufacturers dosing of 150 units/ml when using hyaluronidase to dissolve HA fillers. We do not dilute the product. We use  0.3-0.5 cc per cheek to dissolve Voluma. It may take 2-3 visits, each a month apart for optimal clearing. Wydase and Vitrase are trade names for the generic enzyme, hyaluronidase. Best,

Hi lady45788,I prefer not to dilute hyaluronidase. However, keep your expectations in the proper perspective. Dissolving sometimes takes 2-4 sessions. Hylenex can also cause swelling and spread so don't overdo this in one session.All the best, Justin Harper, MD.
