You may need the fluid aspirated with a needle so that you do not develop a permanent deformity. Best to see a local plastic surgeon.

Thanks for your question.  It sounds like you have a seroma, which can happen after liposuction, and often needs to be addressed with aspiration, which can be done in the office.  I would contact your surgeon so that you can be evaluated and aspiration done if necessary.  Best of luck with your recovery.

It sounds like you have a seroma which can be managed by aspiration and compression so it doesn't become chronic and unresolving which may then require excision. I would see a PS soon for evaluation and treatment.

What you have is a seroma. Seromas are more common when aggressive liposuction is carried out, which is the case in a BBL. Seromas most commonly occur around day #14 after surgery. They can resolve on their own in a timely fashion if they are very small. You need very tight compression in that area, stay away from salty food and alcohol, and  limit fluid intake. If my patients develop a seroma, I recommend  drainage in a timely fashion as seromas can  get infected. If left untreated seromas can also lead to capsule formation - your body creates a wall around the fluid collection - leading to scar tissue or fullness from the thickness of the capsule or rind. If you can find a PS in your area to drain this, the  average  charge for them to see you  is ~$250-$300.
