No neck definition runs on my mother's side of the family and unfortunately has been passed to me. I hate my side profile as a result, what can I consider to improve this?

Thank you for your question and for providing a photo. You are likely a candidate for a lower rhytidectomy, also known as a neck lift. This procedure targets the neck and throat directly by removing submental fat and tightening the skin.
The deeper tissues along the jawline are also tightened to create a smooth and defined contour. Results from this surgery can last for well over ten years. Thank you for your question and photos. You are a good candidate for a deep necklift. A deep necklift addresses the platysma muscle, deep neck fat and deep neck musculature. Your neck shape is genetic. It can be optimized. The limiting factor of how sharp your neck shape is your hyoid bone. I recommend you consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
