I have a short neck. My neck has always been thick and with some extra skin. With age, extra skin increased and it will continue to deteriorate. I also have some lack of jawline definition due to some minor sagging of the lower face. I consulted with 3 well know face specialist in my area. 2 of them suggested i move forward with a lower face lift which would take care of both neck and jaw. The 3rd said that i would be disappointed with the results because of my short neck. Thoughts?

Answer: Don't see a problem with a facelift Your two other surgeons were correct. A facelift would help you. I usually do a deep plane but I think a SMAS lift would help your case as well. I don't understand the third surgeon's statement but a facelift is the solution.

Answer: Necklift and lower facelift when you have a short neck Your age and A full set of facial and neck photographs in a chin neutral position from all angles are required to make a determination about how best to proceed. From the photographs presented, it does not appear you you are a candidate for any face/necklift procedure. Having a short neck is irrelevant and you can still undergo the procedure when necessary. The goal of a lower face and neck lift is to tighten loose facial and neck skin, tighten loose facial and neck muscles, remove fat deposits in the back, and lift the jowls.
