I lost my clear retainer but I have a permanent one, so does it matter?

I got my braces off two months ago, and my orthodontist told me that I have to wear a clear retainer on top of my fixed one for six months. However, i recently lost my clear one. Should i bother getting another one, or will the fixed retainer be enough?

It is not unusual to develop black triangles after braces, especially with adult patients.  Sometimes it resolves all by itself, but often we can choose between dermal fillers, crowns/veneers, or Bioclear.

Sharyn, thank you for your great question. You certainly can get braces only for the bottom teeth. In my experience though you would be limiting yourself and a doctor who will be doing your treatment to less optimal results in most cases. Lower teeth are usually bonded or limited by ...
