Darkness on boob above wound. What does it mean? Will it go away? (photos)

My Dr. doesnt seem as concerned as i am with my healing and the issues i am having. Aside from the huge wound opening i noticed darkness on the skin above. What does this mean? Will it ever go away? My Dr. has recommended i keep hydrocolloid bandaids on the wound.

Dear VML13,
this type of wound can occur after breast reduction. It is usually caused by poor blood flow and increased tension. Change of color you mention, doesn't look dangerous or uncommon. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions and keep your wound clean and covered. It can take few weeks or months for wound to fully heal.

The images presents a problem that we call granulated tissue - This is scar tissue forming above that area. It looks as though there is a dehiscence of the wound as the skin has come apart. As a result, your body is creating scar tissue to close the gap.
