Telogen effluvium after total thyroidectomy. Is hair loss a side effect of euthyrox?

Telogen effluvium started 8 months after total thyroidectomy and continued for 1 year till now, all required lab tests are normal. Iam on euthyrox 100. Is hair loss a side effect of euthyrox? My TSH results are between 0.3 and 1. Which is in range.

Hair loss after thyroid removal is complex and a mix of permanent and temporary hair loss conditions are possible. Certainly thyroid medications can cause hair loss but it’s not common. More commonly the thyroid dysfunction cause hair loss and in some cases it accelerates any underlying genetic hair loss. Be sure to see an expert for ongoing guidance.
