What is causing my chest spider veins to increase after treatment?

Oral medicaton like Daflon is associated with reduced symptoms of venous insufficiency and may help prevent new spider veins from forming in some cases but will not treat veins that are already there.  Sclerotherapy is considered the treatment of choice for spider or reticular veins including chest veins.  If the veins are really tiny, some topical laser treatments or radiofrequency can also be effective. Consider seeing a vein specialist for evaluation.

Spider veins will not go away with this oral therapy.  I guess the question is do you have any other health issues such as liver disease, blood clots of the upper extremities, upper extremity surgery or another reason that you are developing these.  If you do not have any other issues then consider sclerotherapy to treat the veins. 

Oral medication is not the treatment for chest spider veins.  Sclerotherapy is the gold standard of treatment for most chest spider veins.  Very small chest spider veins can be treated with a topical laser or micro needle radio frequency.
