Forehead veins like forks, what kind of treatment is there to get rid of them if possible? (Photo)

Absolutely hate the veins in my forehead, they appear whenever I’m excited, happy, laughing, strained, laying down etc. so big and ugly! I want them gone or at least minimalised! Is there anything that can help me? And what would the price bracket be + available in Australia preferably Melbourne or Sydney

Forehead veins can become quite prominent with increased pressure that can occur with laughing, lying down, straining, etc.   Because of their location, it is very important to have them treated with utmost precision and to make sure that the sclerosant chemical does not spread around.   As an experience microsurgeon who performs vein and arterial surgery of blood vessels smaller than 1 millimeter, it is possible to ligate and sclerose these veins through very small incisions with specialized instruments.

Veins like these can be treated by either micro-phlebectomy, sclerotherapy or a combination of both.  Both treatments are considered safe and effective but as always there can be potential complications although rare. I recommend you look up a vein specialist and make sure they are experienced in treating facial veins.

I treat these veins frequently with either sclerotherapy alone or a combination of sclerotherapy and interruption via micro incisions.  This is an office procedure done under local anesthesia.  The only down side is that sometimes more than one cycle of sclerotherapy may be necessary.
