Thank you for your question. The size of the implant will not differ in price. The price differences comes from if you want saline breast implants or silicone breast implants. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns, try on sizer implants and work together to create the surgical plan that works to achieve your overall desired look.Best regards,Dr. Lane F. Thanks for the question. When it comes to costs of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure (quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider, type of breast implants… are some of the potential variables involved. You will find some average costs of surgery listed on this website and on individual plastic surgeons' websites as well.In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done.Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. You may find the attached link helpful as you learn more. Best wishes.
In our office, the cost ranges from around $4600 for saline implants to around $5500 for silicone implants, as long as other procedures, like breast lift, are not needed. The size of the implant does not affect the cost of surgery.
Blood clots in leg veins or pelvic veins is uncommon after breast augmentation which typically takes 1-11/2 hrs. We use Compression stockings on all cases over an hour using anesthesia and deep sedation. Your symptoms are unusual, but your ER workup sounds appropriate.Check with your family...
Typically tissue expanders are replaced with implants at 4-6 months. But there is no rush to have them exchanged. The worst likely scenario is that it ruptures, the saline gets absorbed by your body, and the expansion goes away. Dr Rodger Shortt
Thank you for your question. You’re very early in the recovery phase from breast implant surgery. Over the next few weeks your breasts will change. Final results take 6 months. I would expect some asymmetry by looking at your preop photo. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.
