Can Renuva be used as a permanent lip filler?

Renuva should not be injected into the lips. It is intended to be injected only where fat naturally exists in the body. Renuva is perfect for volumizing areas of the face and body, like the cheeks, hands, breasts and buttocks. I recommend a hyaluronic acid for filling the lips instead.

Thank you for your question. Renuva is a allograft adipose matrix that allows for your own fat to settle in the area of injections (lips). Renuva is not permanent, but your fat that eventually settles in the matrix WILL be. So with Renuva you must be more patient that traditional lipo fillers currently on the market.  It may take about 3 months for your to see the final result. Good luck! 

There is an inflammatory response with this product.  Lips do not have the thicker dermis of facial skin.  I suggest a hyaluroinic acid filler such as Juvederm for lip augmentation.

I recommend only using a hyaluronic acid based filler like Restylane or Juvederm when treating the lips. 

Doctors are trained to NOT inject Renuva into the lips or under the eyes. Please decline if these two areas are offered to you by an injector. Renuva is not a filler, it's a volumizer, and it should only be injected where fat already exists. Since your lips consist of skin and muscle, Renuva is not a recommended for lips. Renuva does a beautiful job replenishing facial volume and to achieve the shape you desire in targeted body areas. For lips, it's best to use a hyaluronic acid filler.
