Hello,The forehead shape can be augmented. Depending on the nature of the changes desired different techniques can be used. While fat transfer has been suggested, I am not in favor of this approach. The natural forehead shape is not defined by fat. Normal foreheads on people of any size typically have very little fat. Furthermore, unexpected weight gain in the future will do odd things assuming a previously successful fat graft. Since the fat is taken from areas that normally gain weight when you gain weight, your forehead would now gain weight when you gain weight. Custom forehead implants will be able to add volume precisely and permanently without fear of future changes. The implant will have the look and feel of bone, just like a natural forehead. This approach is very well suited to most of the forehead, but is challenging to implement along the upper rim of the eye sockets because of nerves that often come out of small holes in the bone. These nerves provide the sense of touch to the forehead and front half of the scalp. A CAT scan of the area will help greatly to define those nerves and will also be needed to create the custom implant.Best Regards,Dr. A
