What should I do after hitting my nose 1 month post op and it's bigger and red?

I have had a septoplasty the 7th August and it was a success, today I've been in the pool and i hit my nose with a mask, my nose is swelling and red and the nose bridge is bigger so I applied some ice. I'm so worried cause it can stay permanent? Please give me an advice on what I have to do as soon as possible. Thank you very much

Dear Anas, I would suggest seeing your surgeon if you have follow up concerns after trauma to the nose. An intra nasal examination will be done and a proper diagnosis can be made. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
