My patients love the effects that Sculptra can give in the buttocks area. I use a diluted form of this dermal filler to even out residual cellulite dimples; create beautiful, smooth curves; and even create a slight, nonsurgical BBL. You will need to start with about 4 to 8 vials to get a little volume and lift in the buttocks. Every year to year and a half I will add another 1 to 2 vials to maintain the beautiful new curves. If the style changes and you want a smaller buttock, just discontinue yearly injections and it will gradually return to the original shape.I believe that a Sculptra BBL, while not as dramatic as surgical BBL, looks more beautiful and natural, plus is more on trend. The exaggerated look that’s popular right now with surgical BBL will undoubtedly become less fashionable over the years. Better to have a lovely, natural looking buttocks area that you can maintain throughout your lifetime, than be stuck with an overdone physique that’s no longer in fashion. Please find a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in creating lovely contours with Sculptra.
Great question. Sculptra is a great treatment that is non-invasive and can improve projection, contour and texture of the buttock. See the link below for some important research on the topic.
Yes, Sculptra does augment the buttock and lots of vials are needed. The average patient needs at least 10 but 16 is the norm. It's done in the office and requires no anesthesia. It is off label but much less risky than fat injections.
Thank you for sharing your question. Sculptra can be safely placed in a number of body parts including the face and buttocks to safely stimulate collagen formation within the tissues in order to increase soft tissue volume. It can be used in the hips as well. Hope this helps.
Hi,Thank you for your question. Sculptra Butt Lift rarely have complications but mild good results. Sculptra can be safely used for a number of body areas including the decollete, buttocks, hips, thighs, and knees. In addition, it can be used for treatment regimen of cellulite. The product is very expensive overall.
Sculptra is an injectable solution that contains micro particles of L-Poly-Lactic Acid, a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic polymer. Sculptra is an FDA-approved filler designed to provide lift and natural fullness to the buttocks. It is a minimally-invasive technique and is the safest procedure you can get done for a fuller buttock. Always contact a board certified medical expert to go over your options.
Thank you for your question. While off label, Sculptra is excellent for gluteal augmentation. It is important to note that it will not provide a lot of volume but rather a boost to the area. If you are interested in more volume then you should consider fat grafting or even an implant. It is also critical you find someone with significant experience in sculptra injection.
Sculptra has been FDA approved for 10 years. It is a very safe filler. I works by stimulating ones own collagen to create the correction in the area injected. Recently, Sculptra has been used on the body with great success. I have used Sculptra for treating the chest, cellulite, buttocks enhancement and on extremities without problems. I believe the results are much longer lasting the the 2 year FDA approval. I would say 5-7 years because the new collagen will last this long. There is always aging which occurs so these injections will need topping off every 1-2 years. I use a less concentrated solution of the Sculptra when it is used off the face. In the buttocks, at least 20 vials are needed to achieve a noticeable result. I do this in 2-4 sessions.
Thank you for your question. I have been performing the Sculptra Butt Lift for approximately one year now. We have had no complications and very good results. Sculptra can be safely used for a number of body areas including the decollete, buttocks, hips, thighs, and knees. In addition, I use it as part of my treatment regimen for cellulite.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
Hi theellie, I have extensive experience in using Sculptra for "BBL" and it's amazing but you need to have the right expectations. Typically, those who opt for this non-surgical route to a shapelier butt know that this is an "enhancement" procedure and not an augmentation procedure. It is safe, is minimally invasive and there is no downtime. The amount used depends on the structure and amount of fat the patient has. It can range from 1-20 vials and averages 10. In practice, I use about 5 vials per treatment. I use either a needle or a cannula to inject Sculptra in multiple sites after numbing the area with topical and/or local anesthesia. Two treatments spaced between 3-6 weeks apart are usually enough but some prefer to have a third injection.Take note that the results are not immediately visible since collagen formation takes some time. But you should be happily noticing changes by the time you go for your second treatment.I rarely use it for the hips and thighs, but there is no contraindication. Patients have reported that it smoothened the skin and reduced the appearance of cellulite. It can last for two years (or more) with a small touch up in between. All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
