Is the cumulative dose method effective for Accutane?

Hello for isotretinoin is cumulative dose method affective? Or is it the amount of time skin is remained clear in the medication? I read the old cumulative dose method is outdated? Any truth to that? Thank you

Yes you can get colon cleansing and use skincare, do lasers, and at home peels like AERIFY and dermarolling while on accutane (see link). Best, Dr. Emer

Isotretinoin is not indicated and should not be used for milia. It's used for severe acne and requires strict medical monitoring of side effects for both men and women as isotretinoin can lead to horrible birth defects. Patients need to be enrolled in the iPledge program to be on isotretinin.
