I have fibromyalgia and the past 2 and a half years have been torture. I have extreme pain/muscle spasms in both sides of my neck, collar bones and shoulders. No amount of medications has helped. It keeps me awake at night and as a result I'm mostly bedridden with pain and exhaustion. I have tried massage, tens machines, every lotion and potion and I'm desperate, as a result I'm suffering chronic headaches. Would botox in these muscles help?

Botox for hemifacial spasm works well, but can cause significant side effects such as facial asymmetry if not properly performed. Make sure the physician has experience doing this. Usually a very small amount (20 units) is needed. Insurance should pay for this with prior authorization
Absolutely. It is common to get injections prior to, or even during anesthesia. That should have no affect on your surgery whatsoever. To save yourself some minor discomfort, I would recommend talking to your plastic surgeon about receiving your botox while you are asleep.
