Is there any benefit to steaming or going into a sauna before a chemical peel?

Is there a point to getting a steam bath or a steam facial before a chemical peel? Maybe even the day or night before or maybe the same day so as to help slough off the dead skin as well as pure things from inside the pores to get the peel to penetrate more? Or, is there no actual science to this? Will it help at all? Is this good before facial extractions as well? Will it help soften blackheads and dead skin to be removed?

I do not see any benefit to steaming the skin before a chemical peel. Your provider may advise you to use products to prep your skin weeks in advance to get the most benefit from the peel, and to help strengthen your skin.Steaming can be beneficial during facials to help open the pores during extractions. At home exfoliation (3x per week), keeping the skin hydrated and drinking plenty of water daily will also help with extractions for your monthly facials.

I would not recommend a steam bath or sauna immediately before a chemical peel.  I have my patients avoid harsh cleansers, exfoliants, or DIY pre-treatments and no make-up the day of the peel.  I also often start my patients with a pre-treatment of Retin-A or hydroquinone; sometimes TriLuma for a couple of weeks before the peel for excellent results.  I recommend you discuss any pre-treatment regimens with your provider.  Thanks for your question.
