Does taking Accutane with food OR Accutane with high-fat meal increase absorption?

Dear Doctor, Roche said: "oral absorption of isotretinoin is enhanced when given with a high-fat meal. Both peak plasma concentration (Cmax) and the total exposure (AUC) of isotretinoin were more than doubled following a standardized high-fat meal when compared with Accutane given under fasted conditions". My meal while on Accutane just has normal fat like: pan-fried meat, vegetable, bread (no milk). Does it affect the absorption of Accutane? What's the key? Thank you, Doctor! Bests,

Yes, you need to take Accutane WITH food. There is scientific research that shows that isotretinoin (most forms) are better absorbed with higher forms of fat and calories. So, I find it best to encourage patients to take Accutane with whatever meal they eat that has the most fat and calories. I don't ask patients to change their eating habits or add in more fat or calories. But please do make sure you are taking Accutane with food, every time.
