I agree with Dr. Whitt that prophylaxis would be a good idea and would suggest taking Valtrex as prophylaxis the same day as your chemical peel procedure (2 grams in the morning and 2 grams in the evening).Good luck.
Although an 8% peel is very superficial and the likihood of an herpetic infection is very small, I would recommend treating you before and for a few days after your peel. I give Valtrex to all of my peel or resurfacing patients if they have any history of cold sores, etc.
Chemical peels on the arms of the medium strength, which is the level needed to improve coloration, might scar the arms so they should be avoided. Superficial peels might be done to allow topical lightening creams to be more effective. Fraxel is a very good alternative. Several Fraxel Re:store...
TCA peels come in a variety of strengths from 10% to 50% . The 10 % peel can be done as frequently as once a month and deeper peels such as 35% TCA as often as 6 months. The stronger the peel the longer the healing time and the deeper the penetration of the acid. Usually in my office we do...

I do not know where you were able to purchase 100% TCA but do not use this in any form, dilution or fashion on your legs. You are playing with fire. If you use too strong of a solution or if it is not properly applied you will burn your skin and have permanent scarring. I would never suggest...
I agree with the other answers here. While many treatments are marketed to improve stretch marks (including OTC and prescription creams), we really do not yet have an effective treatment that I would recommend. As a mother of 3, it certainly pains me to say we don't have a good...
Keloid scars are better treated with kenalog injections every 2 weeks until flat and lighter in color. TCA peels won't flatten a keloid scar but will help with the discoloration but the cortisone shots do both so don't bother with the peels. Get the injections at $100 per session for 3-5...
