I Am 56 Yrs. Old and Have (Controlled with Meds) High Blood Pressure. I had considered breast reduction when I was younger, but decided it was too much trouble (I wish I had done it now) I am having severe back problems and problems with rashes and scalding under my breasts. Please help

Answer: Breast Reduction and High Blood Pressure
As long as your blood pressure is controlled with medication prior to your operation, it is acceptable to undergo a breast reduction.
High blood pressure (hypertension) can place patients at increased risk for developing bleeding and a hematoma (collection of blood after a procedure). However, as long as hypertension is controlled with medications, the risk of hematoma should be about the same as any other patient.
