I am 50 years old and I just stopped smoking 2 months ago. I also had cirrhosis of the liver first stage a year ago. I'm 5-9 209 pounds. I've also had a blood clot in my lung in 2017 due to car accident. In 2019 I had a hysterectomy. Would I be a good candidate and is it safe to have a TT, BBL, and lipo at the same time in the US or the Dominican Republic? I don't have any known health conditions other than that and I'm not on any medications I was only on the blood thinner for 6 months.
Answer: Tummy tuck and BBL Dear Gail88770, you will need to get a clearance from your doctor prior to any elective procedure. Also, it is important to avoid smoking due to the increased risk of complications. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: I am 50 years old and just quit smoking and drinking. Want a TT and BBL. Thoughts? If you are now in good health and could obtain clearance from your medical specialists regarding your cirrhosis, and blood clot, your age and BMI of 30.9 would not prevent you from having Lipo/BBL and TT at the same time. If you decide to stage them, would recommend that you have the lipo and BBL first followed by the TT six months later.

Answer: I am 50 years old and just quit smoking and drinking. Want a TT and BBL. Thoughts? Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Your BMI is within the recommended range, but unfortunately, without pictures, it is very difficult to give you a proper answer. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less. Smoking before or after your surgery can increase your risk of developing complications, including infection and wound healing problems. I recommend my patients that it is ideal to stop at least 6 weeks before surgery and then 6 weeks more after surgery. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know. Good luck :)

Answer: I am 50 years old and just quit smoking and drinking. Want a TT and BBL. Thoughts? With your medical history you need to consult with a board certified PS in your area to make sure they are comfortable operating on you. I would be very cautious to operating (elective plastic surgery) on a patient with liver cirrhosis and a pmhx sig for a PE. They will likely put you on a blood thinner peri-operative and will require medical clearance for your cirrhosis to make sure your liver is functioning at 100%.

Answer: BBL + TT First, you should only consult board certified plastic surgeons. Whether you are a candidate or not will be decided by your plastic surgeon and you will need approval from your primary care physician. That being said, if you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
