2mm punch scar on cheek. Can anything be done to make it less noticeable? (Photos)

Question

Went to dermatologist and they punched a pilomatricoma cyst draining it and leaving the cyst sac. Dermatologist packed wound, no stitches. I now have a 2mm punch scar and was wondering what can be done to make it less noticeable? Im starting to develop deep wrinkles around the punch site as well.

Thanks for the question. I have to say I do not agree with the treatment option you were given and what was carried out. In my opinion, leaving the sac makes no sense. Was it confirmed as a pilomatrixoma? if so then removing the whole thing in one go is advised and the wound close dwith stitches. The reason is, is you leave it to close as suggested, you end up with a wider scar and substandard result. I would suggest that you have the area reviewed and the wound excised and stitched close. The scar will replace what you have and once it has settled down, will be far less noticeable than what is currently present.Other aspects of treatment such as filler extra will not end up giving you the result you desire.I hope this is helpful BWRohit SethPlastic, reconstructive, aesthetic and hair transplant surgery
