Thanks for the question. I have to say I do not agree with the treatment option you were given and what was carried out. In my opinion, leaving the sac makes no sense. Was it confirmed as a pilomatrixoma? if so then removing the whole thing in one go is advised and the wound close dwith stitches. The reason is, is you leave it to close as suggested, you end up with a wider scar and substandard result. I would suggest that you have the area reviewed and the wound excised and stitched close.
