Question

I actually had it done twice (2nd time to fix the scar) fro same surgeon, same sutures. Why did this happen? Am I allergic? The first picture is how it turned out the first time, second picture is second attempt right after stitches removed, third picture is now. Can it be fixed. Im embarrassed to wear a bating suit or tank top now.

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

As the skin stretches, it can cause the sensations of itching and/or burning. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care. Thank you for your photos and question. It appears your scar has been stretched unfortunately. This can lead to the itching and burning you are reporting. I would recommend using Embrace scar therapy as soon as possible. You can research about it below..I would also recommend you return to your surgeon to follow up at your earliest convenience.
