Thanks for your photo. Your wound will heal with continued wound care. The scar will be smaller then you imagine. And if needed, revisions can always make things better. Focus on your healing and wash your wound out in the shower and let time do its thing. Moist wound do heal faster then dry wounds so suggest you keep some kind of ointment on it.

Wound healing problems after breast reduction are amazing common. The most likely place they occur is just where your wound is, at the bottom of the "T" incision. The most appropriate course of action is daily dressing changes and allowing it to heal on its own. Trying to operate on this will only result in more problems. Be patient and realize it will eventually heal. Your surgeon is doing the right thing. He may need to change what dressings you are doing which is why he likes to see you often.
I am sorry to hear about the complication you have experienced after breast reduction surgery. You are correct in that 2.5 months is somewhat of a long period to have an open wound after breast reduction surgery. However, it is likely that the wound will go on to heal within the next few weeks.
