175 Cc High Profile Look?

    The difference in breast implant diameter width between a high profile and a moderate profile at 175 cc is very small.  Few people could tell a difference at this volume.

Give it about 3 months for swelling to settle down, and for the tissues to relax before really judging the final results.  In contrast to some of the other posts, I think the high profile implants can really look very nice, if chosen based on the patient's anatomic dimensions.  Of course, it's a matter of the patient's personal taste, but in our practice, these are the second most-popular implants, after the "mod. plus" profile.  So, give it some time.

Thank you for your question. It is a bit early to judge your results, and given some more time, you will be better able to judge if you have achieved your wishes. That being said, I typically do not use high profile implants in women who desire a very natural look. Due to their narrow width, they tend to create a round, conical breast which looks more implanted.

For women who wish to be more subtle, a moderate profile implant works well. The width of the implant can be matched to your chest width, which gives the most natural result. I would suggest waiting an re-assessing how your breasts look in 3 months time. If you are at all dissatisfied, the implants can be exchanged without much ado.

First, 175 cc implants are very small.  An exam in person would be best to determine how they look and review your concerns. In addition, if you just had surgery, you are probably still swollen.

With such small breast implants, I would doubt that the difference between a high profile and a lower profile implant will make much of a difference in the final result. You are very early after surgery and the complete swelling and breast tissue adaptation can take up to 3 months after surgery to see the final size and shape. It may look like the implants have too much 'projection' due to the swelling now but that will change as the swelling subsides and the implants drop.

Although some of  your anxiety is understandable, I would suggest that you not worry at this point. It is very likely that your surgeon chose your breast implant based on dimensional planning/measurements.

 Regardless, worry/anxiety at this point is not helpful.  I would suggest continued patience and follow up with your plastic surgeon.

Hopefully, you'll be very pleased with the long-term outcome of the procedure regardless of the specific  breast implant “profile” used.

Hard to say since it's still early and not sure how small your frame is. I generally would recommend Moderate plus implants for those who desire a more subtle augmentation since the higher profile implants have more projection and a more augmented look.  That being said, 175 cc is a small implant and even a high profile implant may be ok since the projection would not be as significant when compared to a larger implant.  Would wait to see how it settles in at around three months but I feel that you will be fine and love your results regardless.  

175cc implants are relatively small and if these particular implants were chosen based on a biodimensional approach, I believe you will be happy with the final results in time. As your postoperative swelling subsides and the implants settle, it is still possible to achieve a "natural" look with your high profile implants.
