WORTH IT
I never really thought about age—until about a year ago when I realized, at 56, that I was practically a tech industry fossil compared to my co-workers. Zoom calls became my nemesis, with that unforgiving camera highlighting what I can only describe as my "turkey neck." Confidence? What’s that? I was seriously considering a career change—maybe to wherever dinosaurs went to retire. But then, I met Dr. Ransom, and everything changed.
I went to Dr. Ransom for a neck lift consultation, hoping to find a solution to my Zoom woes. He recommended a face and neck lift, along with upper eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty), explaining how these procedures would work together to give me a more youthful look. It all sounded great—except for the price tag. But then it hit me: investing in my confidence and appearance was crucial for staying competitive in the tech world.
I didn’t even bother with a second opinion. The moment I walked into Dr. Ransom’s office, I knew he was the one. His staff is fantastic—they genuinely like each other and clearly adore Dr. Ransom. The vibe in the office is infectious, in the best way possible.
Fast forward four months, and wow—just wow. I look incredible. Still me, just a way better version! I’m expecting a job offer from a top tech firm this week, and I’m walking into it with my confidence fully restored, no longer fretting about my age.
And let’s not forget Patricia, Dr. Ransom’s amazing nurse, who went above and beyond to make sure I felt great before and after surgery. She’s the perfect complement to Dr. Ransom’s practice.
In short, I highly recommend Dr. Ransom! If you’re on the fence, just do it—your future (and your Zoom calls) will thank you!

Good for you! Our stories are so similar. I am thrilled to say that I got the job! I bought all new clothes and finally tossed the old ones (because I am not allowing myself to gain the weight back.) And.. best of all, I don't feel like the old lady that doesn't belong in tech anymore...You're going to be so happy with your surgery. Now instead of cringing on Zoom calls I stare at Dr. Ransom's excellent work and wonder why I didn't do it earlier? Let me know how the surgery goes!! I am excited for you.

I also had to buy a whole new wardrobe but because of my neck area and jowls I can’t wear certain tops. I prefer a deep v neck so that the attention is more on my collar bone which now sticks out due to the weight loss. I’m tired of having to live like this and I’m so self conscious. I’m so excited for this surgery now to fix these issues. Lately my zoom camera is just off and I blame it on a bad bandwidth.

haha, I get that. Once you have your surgery, you'll love the camera! Excited for you!

Thank you! I’m excited also. I had my final consult on Friday. As the post op garment was not available they will refund me and I will have to wear bandages. As I’m pretty broke after maxing my credit card for this surgery (I was that desperate!)
I have to attend a big social event tomorrow so I’m already stressed out wondering how I can minimise my neck area, so that I don’t look too old. My bf is 62 but he looks 52. So I don’t feel comfortable also looking 61. Which I don’t really but the neck and jowls age me.
I’m nervous for the recovery and very nervous also for the scarring, And hope I will be happy with the results. I really am hoping for a more natural look, I don’t want to look as if I had work done,
My zoom calls hopefully will be less stressful also!
