I’m an Asian female in my late 20s. I had decent eyebrows but the ends were kind of thin and short. They were not too difficult to elongate with makeup until I had permanent makeup done in the early days of permanent make up development. In 2013 I had a “certified” permanent makeup aesthetician did my browns. It was supposed to be 3D but after the scabs fell and two refills, they were just not 3D. By that time, it was 2015 and I saw many of my friends had good looking 3D tattooed browns and so I knew If I ever going to do anything again with my browns, I’d get the real thing, hair transplants!
I did my research here and there but I felt frustrated bc hair eyebrow transplant procedures are not as common as permanent makeup and the procedures are still very marketed towards men. Yet I’ve seen many girls want to remove their bad browns pigments via laser and chemical peel! I also think they are expensive and the reviewed quality are inconsistent until I came across dr. Pak in New Hair Institute.
I went to their regular open house event with my husband. I felt welcome and warm even though the participants were mostly men. Hahaha. And did I mention my husband is bald and doesn’t care?! They didn’t push him to do anything! That’s one of the many reason that I decided to do my procedure there.
There was a live eyebrow transplant procedure going on, so I had the chance to see what I will be getting. The staff gave us gowns and PPE to observe the procedure. It seem painless and it was painless in my case.
Right after the consultation, I scheduled an operation date! Everything went smoothly and at post-up, the staff washed my hair carefully with their special shampoo.
I didn’t think the procedure price was cheap for my desire to elongate my browns BUT I think I paid for the quality of service and the overall care. Besides Dr. offers a free touch up procedure one year after the original procedure. I thought it was fair and practical that he has this offer considering hair follicles dies and sometimes don’t resurface after months. Anyways, now it’s been 4 months! And here’s my browns!!
I’m happy with my browns but I also noticed some tiny gaps. I must say many hair fell out in the first two weeks and I was upset but they did grow back just like Dr. Pak told me. *Phew
Can’t wait till the end of this year and see if they will fill in a little more.

Today was my first time doing eyebrow shaping in a year! I didn’t want to do anything with my eyebrow between the hair transplant procedures because I was also getting microblading to remove the permanent makeup. Anyhow, two weeks after the second procedure I decided to get my eyebrow shape done.
Because of the procedures, the shapes of my eyebrows have completely changed. So I want to have a professional eye to trim my eyebrows. I took some photos to share with you.... whoever is out there sharing similar experience with me and now seeking a resolution.
I had some makeup to cover the pigments from preexisting permanent makeup in the pictures but you can tell my brows are no longer skinny tattoo strokes but real hair! *screaming inside*
Ps. I took two sets of pictures in different lightings. In the warmer lights, the red pigments are not as obvious.

I started losing my hair in my early 20s and by 30 the front was gone and i was shaving my head regularly. By the time i turned 40 the top was gone too and the back crown area was starting to go. I grew to love having extremely short hair, i just really hated not having a hairline. Im light skinned with brown hair so it was always noticable, and it was the one thing i wished i could change about my appearance.
One day i stumbled upon photos of SMP results that were exactly what i would want. At that point I started doing my research , trying to find out who the best person in my area was.

The procedure took place over 4 seperate procedures, with a few weeks between each appointment to allow for healing. After each procedure i would freak out about how it looked a little too dark, but it would always heal into a nice subtle looking blend. By the time my final procedure was fully healed, i was extremely satisfied. The randomness of the front hairline is exactly what I wanted and i feel like this is Dr Pak’s strong point. Im really amazed at his talent.

New Hair Institute is definitely a professional establishment. The staff are friendly, and Dr. Pak was attentive. The 3 SMP procedures were done to address the multiple FUT linear scar, attempting to cover up/minimize it visually as much as possible. I had Body Hair FUE transplant to the linear scar from another doctor prior to the SMP procedures, and the result from that transplant failed to address my concerns. After consulting at one of their open house, back in the summer, I proceeded with SMP, and overall, it did minimize the scar visibility tremendously, although did not eliminate it. I am now waiting for a couple of weeks post 3rd procedure to see the final result, as the SMP will settle to the final look at that point. However, I have to say, immediately after the final procedure, I was quite happy with how it looks with the SMP all fresh, and I only wish it stays that way, but that's just the nature of this procedure it seems. All in all, I wish I had approach this procedure BEFORE the body hair transplant to the scar, since I would probably not proceed with the transplant as I find that procedure did not make a drastic difference considering the cost of that procedure.

I got a very powerful drive to regain and retain a full head of hair since I started losing hair in my 30's .
I spent a year researching the techniques and facilities in the Los Angeles area. I finally decided on New Hair Institute. I felt the most confidence and comfortable after attending an open house , meeting patients and Dr. Pak .
Dr Pak is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon .
He has a very straight forward approach and has never given me expectations beyond what is achievable .
He is also an artist and he has an eye for creating a natural look . Nobody in my family ever detected that I had surgery . Everyone I meet who hasn't seen me in a while ,comments on my youthful appearance but nobody has ever realized that it is due to Dr Jae Pak 's work .
I have to admit that I am a perfectionist and not easily satisfied when it comes to image .
I am a clothing designer and I have an eye for detail and for what I consider beauty.
Dr Pak has been able to successfully fullfill my dreams of regaining a full head of hair .

After years of procedures from other doctors with unsatisfactory results, I fortunately came across Dr. Pak at New Hair Institute. I wish I had came across him sooner because I had wasted valuable donor hair with outdated procedures. Dr. Pak is clearly a leader in the field of hair restoration and a gifted surgeon.
The procedures performed at NHI were to repair the bad work done by other doctors. I could have saved years of pain and aggravation a knowing what I know now. The modern FUE procedures are a breeze completely pain free. No cutting and sutures like previous procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Pak and NHI. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.
