I had my rhinoplasty at 8 Plastic Surgery with Dr. Joo Oh-Young about 4 months ago, and honestly I had a really great experience. This was actually the fourth clinic I consulted with. After three consultations, I had already decided that if I didn’t feel confident with the fourth one, I simply wouldn’t go through with the surgery. But my consultation with Dr. Oh-Young immediately felt different. What stood out most was that he really listened. Instead of telling me what he thought needed to be changed, he first asked me what I wanted. At other clinics I was told I needed nostril reduction (alar reduction), which I already knew I didn’t want. Dr. Oh-Young never pushed that at all. He simply listened and respected what I wanted. He did suggest lifting the tip of my nose slightly so that a little bit of the nostrils would show. At first I was completely against it, but the way he explained it made sense and I decided to trust his judgment. Looking back, that suggestion actually made a massive difference and the result looks very natural. I was also very hesitant about using ear cartilage because I didn’t want to heal in two places. But again, he explained everything very calmly and clearly and made me feel comfortable trusting the process. My healing experience was honestly amazing. I had seen so many recovery stories online and expected something much more difficult. After the first day, once the nose packing was removed, I went back to breathing normally through my nose with very little discomfort. The swelling also went down quickly. Not too long after the surgery, I even took an 18 hour international flight and literally nothing changed. I expected swelling or some kind of issue because of the long flight, but there were no problems at all. Another thing that meant a lot to me is that I made this entire trip by myself and was very far from home. My surgery ended later in the evening, and one of the concierge team members actually waited until I was finished, stayed with me for about 30 minutes, and then walked me to my cab. She kept asking where I was staying and made sure I was okay before I left. During recovery, I would message the concierge team on WhatsApp whenever I had questions, and they always responded quickly and were incredibly helpful. It made me feel like they genuinely cared and wanted me to have a great experience, which meant a lot to me. Overall, everyone at 8 Plastic Surgery, from the doctor to the nurses and concierge team, was professional, kind, and very attentive. The entire experience felt smooth and well organized, and I’m very, very happy with my results. I went to Eight Plastic Surgery Clinic initially to reduce my alar and fix the tip and bridge of my nose. I had a somewhat bulbous nose and wanted a more refined, balanced look. From the very beginning, the clinic felt professional and well-organized. The facility was clean, modern, and only about a 5–7 minute walk from the nearest subway station, which made getting there very convenient. One of the biggest positives was the pricing. The procedure was very affordable for what I received, largely because of the multiple discounts they offer — same-day consultation and surgery, tax refund, and an additional discount for writing a review. For the level of care and results, the value was honestly hard to beat. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Most of the staff did not speak English, but the clinic had translators available who were kind and helpful. The clinic was also very flexible with the dates and times I requested, which made scheduling easy despite traveling. I met with Dr. Han Jo Kim, who performed my surgery. During the consultation, he pointed out that I also had a deviated septum and recommended a septoplasty, which I agreed to. Dr. Kim came across as very knowledgeable and straightforward — which I personally appreciated. He was blunt in a good way and gave me realistic expectations. It honestly felt like he was trained in the States based on how he communicated and approached the procedure. On surgery day, the prep process went smoothly and I didn’t wait very long. My only real complaint is that one of the surgical techs missed my IV line twice while starting general anesthesia, which wasn’t the most pleasant experience. That said, once surgery started, everything went smoothly. I felt no pain at all — just a lot of sinus pressure for the first seven days post-op. After surgery, I was able to return to my hotel right away. Some of the post-op instructions in the pamphlet were unclear, and I didn’t love that most of my questions were answered by translators instead of directly by Dr. Kim. I would’ve preferred more direct communication from the surgeon himself. That being said, I absolutely loved the post-op care. They provided daily red light therapy to help reduce swelling, and all the cleanings were painless. Stitch removal and splint removal were also quick and comfortable. When they removed the cast, I won’t lie — I hated how I looked at first (which I know is normal). But I trusted God, the process, and Dr. Han Jo Kim. Now that it’s been over two months, my nose looks significantly better and continues to improve every day. The swelling keeps going down, the shape is refining, and I’m genuinely excited to see how much more it will improve over the coming months. Overall, Eight Plastic Surgery Clinic delivered great results at an affordable price with excellent post-op care. If you’re realistic, patient with healing, and trust the process, they’re a solid choice.

I had a very positive and successful experience at Eight Plastic Surgery from start to finish. I reached out using WhatsApp and was helped right away by their very kind team. Communications were very thorough and informative. A car service was even arranged for my husband and I upon arrival and departure. I had multiple procedures completed at the clinic — a rhinoplasty by Chief doctor Hanjoo Kim and DES, hairline lowering, and chin liposuction/platysmaplasty by doctor Oyoung Ju. Both doctors were very professional and informative. Additionally, both doctors spoke English very proficiently, which was incredibly helpful, as I am from the US and cannot speak Korean. Yunni, one of the surgery coordinators helped me during my time at the clinic alongside another very sweet girl (whom I forgot her name, so sorry). They were both very proficient in English as well! Before my surgery, I was given pre-op and post-op care instructions that were very useful to my journey. The in-person consultations pre-op went very well. Both doctors listened to my desires, concerns, and requests. They were very honest with what results are possible to achieve and gave me realistic expectations to look forward to. The surgery went smoothly and I did not feel any pain during the procedures. When I woke up, a couple gentle nurses took me to an aftercare room and told me I can rest there for as long as I need. My husband was also contacted and met me in the room right after surgery, which meant so much to me. I didn’t struggle with any intense pain the next few days, only heavy bruising and slight discomfort. The post-op and aftercare was incredible. I was in the clinic multiple times after my procedures. I was cared for with red laser therapy, oxygen chamber, and even hair washing (after many days). I saw doctor Hanjoo Kim once and doctor Oyoung Ju twice after surgery. They both checked up on me and ensured I was recovering okay. Doctor Oyoung was very caring, attentive, and showed lots of kind attention towards me and my healing. I appreciated that a lot! Overall, all procedures went well and I’m very satisfied with my results. I would definitely recommend this clinic to others!
