I had my DES done by Dr. Chae on August 26. I am writing this review two months postop. I am extremely happy with the result. For reference, my eyes were completely different shapes from each other. One had a crease and the other one did not and was slightly droopy. For the procedure, I had ptosis correction on the right eye and incisional method. Dr. Chae and the staff took great care of me. Dr. Chae was very thorough and meticulous with his consultation and measurement. After measuring my eyes, he made sure that I like the shape. During recovery Dr. Chae came and check on me himself to make sure that everything heals correctly. The bruising resolved after one week. The swelling goes away completely after 1.5 months. I have received so many compliments from friends and family. I really like how my eyes look natural and blends in with the rest of my face.

The pre-op and post-op care were both great. A notable downside was the level of pain I experienced during the actual procedure. I did not feel that I received adequate anesthesia and was in tears by the end. I kept being told by the nurse to stop crying and relax because it would lead to more bleeding. I give anesthesia for a living and am familiar with what pain you should and should not feel, yet I felt like my concerns were not being taken seriously. That said, the recovery process went smoothly, and I’m really pleased with how everything turned out. Overall I am happy with the results. I also appreciated that the clinic was responsive over WhatsApp even after I had returned back to the US.

I had a great experience doing ptosis correction and double eyelid surgery. Very satisfied with the results! Dr chae soo wook was professional and did his work excellent. I got him recommended from a friend of mine with good results. Would recommend again.

I wanted a revision eyelid surgery to revamp my drooping eyelids from aging. I spoke to a couple of doctors which tried to overcharge me thousands of dollars because I was a foreigner. Up to $9000 USD. Also those other sleazy surgeons suggested I needed other surgeries in addition to one I had only inquired about. Dr. Chae was wonderful he listened and suggested what he thought was the minimal surgery I needed. He did not push other surgeries onto me to try to make money. During the surgery I was awake and he had me open and close my eyes and look left and right etc. He was meticulous and particular with the symmetry which I really appreciated. On my fee day follow up he noticed a slight ptosis that needed a slight tweak and we scheduled something the next day to correct this which ended up being under 20 minutes. I trust this surgeon, he is honest and very skilled. My healing process was phenomenal and I didn’t even have to have any pain meds. I highly recommend looking him up when you are in Korea.

Hi all, I wanted to share my experience on DES revision, undereye fat graft, partial buccal fat removal and jaw botox performed by Dr Chae Soo-wook at Eight Plastic Surgery 2-month post recovery with the results, and I hope this review can help anyone considering similar procedures. Prior to surgery I had hollow dark circle under-eyes that made me looked tired and drained. Even light concealer couldn’t fully hide the dark, sunken look under my eyes. Also, my previous DES creases were uneven and widely high for male standards (I wanted a hidden crease previously but the surgeon made it widely visible). I had been considering partial buccal fat removal for a while as I have wide cheeks, After much consideration, I decided to go for the consultation to see if there were chemistry with the surgeon and staff on-site. During my consultation, Dr Chae was very polite and recommended fat grafting from my belly to input into my lower lids to restore the volume I had lost + designed the crease to ensure I was satisfied with the aesthetics for the revised crease height. Dr Chae also suggested partial buccal fat removal with jaw botox to 'slim' down my lower facial area, which I felt confident moving forward with the procedure. Although 2-month post-surgery my lids are not totally healed due to me having slower recovery rate and faced complications (I had lots of swelling and bruising), it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As of now the volume under my eyes has been restored and my friends have commented my face has slimmed down after the surgery. The care and professionalism I received from Dr. Chae and Yunie (translator) at Eight Plastic Surgery were great, even when I encountered eyelid swelling during post-recovery process.
