Dr. Joo is a kind and professionnal doctor who speaks perfect English I am very satisfied about my results, which are natural, as I requested and recommend him and Eight Plastic Surgery. The pricing was among the most reasonable one. Reminder that surgery results takes time to settle. To be honest I was very startled at the start because my face looked super stiff, but with time, everything fell into place and now I am very happy about the results !
Had a good rhinoplasty experience with Dr. Joo Oh Young. His English is fluent so it was super easy to communicate with him throughout the process. I wanted a higher bridge and more defined tip and he achieved it with a natural look. Happy with my results after 2 months.
I chose to go with Dr Joo Oh-young at Eight Plastic Surgery as i felt he understood what i was looking for. (How do you explain please make my nose different enough, but not too different, lol?) E.g. Dr Joo advised me that he understood my desire for a natural result but not enough height/ projection would not adequately address my desire to correct a bulbous tip. He also didn't suggest procedures i didn't request and even suggested skipping procedures in case the result may be too subtle (e.g. canthoplasty, which i was okay with). Perhaps the best part is that he also spoke fluent English so I never felt anything was being lost in translation. As for the clinic itself, it can be considered medium-big but not factory-like imo. I liked that they were big enough to have great facilities and resources for dealing with foreigners. But not factory-like so that i was getting a one size fits all approach and not so busy that it took days to get a response. * Procedures For my nose, my concerns were that the bottom of my nose was a bit wide from the front, especially when i smiled. Additionally from the side the projection of the tip was a bit low. For my eyes, I liked my natural eye / lid shape but always felt that slightly longer eyes would be more balanced with the width of my face. After my consultation with Dr Joo, I decided to go ahead with bulbous tip correction and bridge augmentation for my nose and lateral canthoplasty for my eyes. For my nose, we used donated rib and my own ear cartilage for the tip, for the bridge we used a silicone implant. * Results Currently i am only 4 weeks out and still kind of swollen. However, particularly over the last week or so, I feel like i can see the result and it is all heading in the right direction. Some mornings I wake up to a super cute nose that was pretty close to what I had envisioned but then at some point the swelling will hit again. I suppose rhinoplasty is a bit of a waiting game to see results. (Also wish i had known!) When my nose cast came off on Day 7, i was shocked - so much swelling! My nose was huge... super projected and also rather wide. The canthoplasty healing progressed more quickly and the results were subtle but more immediate, even before stitches were removed. But the swelling for rhinoplasty was something else! But indeed, now my nose is not bulbous anymore and more projected. My nose has slimmed from the front view and my side profile is more 3D. All in all, i am really happy with my decision to take the leap and do these plastic surgeries. Dr Joo at Eight did a fantastic job - he understood what i wanted to achieve and I like my new nose more and more everyday. I can't wait to heal fully to see the final result. Its good to share experiences for others considering the same procedure.
I went to Eight Plastic Surgery nearly 3 months ago for several facial procedures/treatments, and have been absolutely LOVING my results! I know the swelling from facial procedures takes a long time to settle down, but now that I’m able to see the beginning of the results, I’m so excited for how they’ll turn out. One of my treatments was with Dr. Oh-Young Joo, and I’m absolutely blown away by how amazing everything’s turning out! I chose Eight PS as my clinic of choice based on how foreigner friendly they were, how kind/enthusiastic they were, how fast they communicated, and how educated they were. They answered all of my questions throughout the booking process happily and quickly, and when I finally consulted with the doctors I was so impressed. I felt so comfortable the entire process and couldn’t be happier with my choice!
I had rhinoplasty done in SK at eight plastic surgery in late April. I had a dorsal hump removal, osteotomy, septorhinoplasty, and tip plasty. I chose Eight based on their natural results and their experience with Caucasian noses. I’m very happy with my results because it’s very natural. Dr. Joo Oh-Young did my surgery and did a great job at making my nose more feminine while keeping the integrity. I told him I didn’t want an “instagram” nose and that I wanted it to fit me still. The clinic was clean and it was easy to communicate from the beginning. I would recommend eight for any foreigners with dorsal hump because I’ve seen how unnatural other clinics’ results are and I felt like I got exactly what I asked for. Healing has been extremely easy for me and I was able to walk around Seoul with a mask for a week. Photos attached are one month post op. Still very swollen but I couldn’t be more pleased with the results!
I chose Dr. Joo for my rhinoplasty because he had good reviews on Reddit, Real self and also Google about his rhinoplasty results. Dr. Joo spoke perfect English and I was able to explain to him exactly the nose I wanted. He helped set my expectations realistically on what could and could not be achieved. I originally had a bulbous, flat nose with tough skin. So he let me know what he could work with regarding my nose. They also did a complimentary MRI of my nose structure. He throughly explained the entire procedure in detail and I felt comfortable going through with the procedure. My nose is still healing and despite the swelling it is still much better than my previous nose and I know it will only get better as the months go on. He also listened to me about wanting to keep my “ethnic” nose. I wanted the nose I had but more defined and natural looking and gave me exactly that. Im still healing because it’s only been a month, but my nose now is still better than it was before and I now it will only continue to get better.
I recently had a procedure done with Dr. Joo Oh Young at Eight Plastic Surgery, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the initial consultation to the final follow-up, Dr. Joo demonstrated exceptional skill, professionalism, and compassion. They took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answer all of my questions, and ensure I felt completely comfortable with every step of the process. The results exceeded my expectations — natural, beautifully balanced, and truly confidence-boosting.
It’s been one month since my rhinoplasty and double eyelid revision with Dr. Joo Oh-Young, and I’m genuinely so happy with the results. Everything looks natural, well-balanced, and already very refined despite the short healing time. Dr. Joo speaks fluent English, which made everything easy to understand and helped me feel completely at ease. He really listened to what I wanted and explained the whole process clearly and patiently. A big thank you to Yunie as well—her help and kindness made the entire experience feel safe and smooth, especially as a tourist. I felt truly cared for every step of the way. If you’re thinking about rhinoplasty or eyelid surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Joo Oh-Young for both his skill and his thoughtful approach.
Great experience! I love my results! Very natural and I felt so comfortable from start to finish! The staff were including the doctor was very nice and accomodating. I highly recommend this place especially for Rhinoplasty.
This was my first time getting any kind of plastic surgery, so I was quite nervous, but researching a LOT online, I saw that Eight Plastic Surgery had consistently high reviews, so I chose Eight for bulbous nose surgery and I am SO glad I did. I met with Dr. Joo, and he is wonderful!! I told him all my all my concerns and requests during the consultation. As an American, I can tell you that his English is perfect (I actually thought he was a Korean-American!) After I told him what I wanted, he explained exactly what the procedure would entail. I told him that I wanted the surgery to be done so the results look natural and fit my face. He did EXACTLY what I requested, I am so incredibly happy with the results. I am now 3 months post procedure, and can say it really changed my life and confidence. I'm not longer anxious about taking pictures. I absolutely recommend!
Hello, I'm Dr. Oh-Young Joo, from Eight Plastic Surgery Clinic in Seoul, South Korea. It would be better if you could provide me photos from the side as well. To make your nose look more 'narrow', the following procedures may be needed. First, a tip plasty to correct the bulbous tip. If you have a not-so-high tip projection from the side view, making a more projected tip would make the nose look more narrow, and you can simulate this at home by lifting your tip by putting Q-tips in both your nostrils and lifting them upwards. Also, to correct the bulbous tip (fullness), cartilage trimming and sutures are essential. Second, an alar width narrowing procedure, such as 'weir excision'.The alar width looks wide and correcting this width would make your nose make more narrow. Thank You. As you have mentioned the side view looks good since you have adequate radix height and tip projection. I assume that you have some concerns regarding the frontal view of your nose. To improve your 'dorsal aesthetic line', an osteotomy to narrow the upper half of the nose, and a weir-excision to narrow the alar width could be possible Thank You.

Hello, I'm Dr. Oh-Young Joo from Eight Plastic Surgery Clinic, South Korea. From the photos that you have posted, it seems that you have both bony/septal deviations. To be more accurate a facial CT scan will be needed, which we have equipped at our clinic. The nostril asymmetry could be caused by both 1) size discrepancy of left and right cartilages2) septal deviation For bony deviation, a correction process by surgery including osteotomy would be needed and for aesthetic purposes a hump reduction seems preferable. Also, to address the deviation in the lower part of the nose, caused by septal deviation a septoplasty and tip plasty (to fix the cartilage discrepancy issue) could be reasonable. These procedures could also help with the functional issues (breathing problems). Thank You.
