Mi-Nu Park, MD

My consultation with Dr. Park Mi-nu was very detailed and helpful. He explained exactly how he would address the concerns I was insecure about. He didn’t try to upsell me on other procedures, even when I asked, he told me it was too early for my age. That made me feel really comfortable.

On the day of the surgery, we went through all the details again, and he made sure I’d get the results we discussed during the consultation. The surgery went smoothly: it took about 1.5 hours, and I was able to go home afterward. I received medication and clear aftercare instructions.

The recovery was pretty quick. I had some purple bruising, but that’s completely normal. After 3 weeks, I started wearing contact lenses again, and by week 4, I was back at the gym.

Now I feel more confident - the under-eye bags are less visible, and although I still have dark circles (genetics!), I no longer feel the need to apply three layers of concealer.

Would I recommend these procedures? Yes. Would I recommend Eight and Dr. Park Mi-nu? YES!

Dr Park Mi-Nu performed my rhinoplasty and fat-grafting surgery, and I absolutely love the results. I feel like it's really natural, and I would highly recommend others considering the same surgeries to reach out. Eight PS provides a lovely english translator who stays with you the whole journey, from staying late into the night on surgery day to answering questions and reassuring me even when she's not meant to be working. Dr Park can also speak some english at a conversational level which is also a really big reassurance :)

For my nose, my main concerns were correcting the bulbous tip and correcting the deviated septum for a better breathing experience. For the eyes, I had some hollowness and unevenness under the eyes.

I really appreciated that Dr Park was detailed, took time to understand what I wanted and was quite resourceful - making suggestions other surgeons hadn't provided before. For example, he suggested to shave down my nose hump and use those trimmings to fill and smooth out my nose bridge, or to use the excess septum cartilage to build up my nose tip.

I also feel like the staff at Eight PS really put an importance on patient safety as well. The surgery techniques seemed like they were on the safer/more conservative side and there is a skilled anesthetist monitoring the surgery throughout. I'm really grateful to them as well, as I felt almost no pain throughout the surgery and recovery period (though first few days of recovery did have some uncomfortable times).

They also provide aftercare red light therapy (though I only attended about half the time), and detailed aftercare instructions which I felt like were really effective.

Just over a month on, and I'm thrilled with the results. :D
