go for it!

I'm VERY HAPPY with Dr. Fryer's talented work! TLDR: I'm a 32-year-old mom who says, "If you're expending a LOT of mental energy about getting it done and you know enough about the financial cost and physical effects of recovery, then GO FOR IT! Dr. Fryer will give you amazing results!!" The Consultation: I'm a shy-prudish kinda gal--on top of being non-existent in the chestal area--so I was nervous about the whole exposing-any-part-of-myself-experience, but the staff and nurses are down-to-earth real people who treat you kindly and have the whole system designed very comfortably for never-[RS bleep] like me. Dr. Fryer is very professional with his gigantic calipers and measuring tape--things that make the process feel very sterile and scientific, but really--what are those numbers for?? If they're just for show, it works great to make the awkwardness of nudity dissipate. He never tells you and you never get those numbers interpreted into anything--even when he uses his computer to educate you with diagrams and vocabulary. They don't measure you post-op, either, so I vote that it's just to look credible and not really for comparison purposes or for your own reference. Didn't matter much to me, but it made it all FEEL very credible, professional, and expertly!. . . Sold! Pre-Op Appointments: Everything was comfortable and great, although they do cleverly slip in a little marketing for their neighboring company--Clarity Skin--which Dr. Fryer also owns. So decide before hand if you really are interested in treatments because after they walk you over there to THAT place (because the nurse can't go get your free scar gel by herself), you'll feel SUPER UGGO in two seconds flat in front of their GORGEOUS-skinned employees who give you a tiny tube of one of their products while LOOKING BORED of your plain face. That was a teency bit deflating... but hey, I'm in this for the boobs, right?? Shake it off, and worry about your homely face later! Trying on implant sizes in front of the nurse is an awkward but understandable necessity. One nurse told me I could pick any size I wanted but another nurse at the next fitting, when I was debating sizing up, told me the particular size I was trying on was my limit according to Dr. Fryer's instructions. (So maybe those measurements DO mean something?? I'll never know…) But I truly was comfortable with the size I chose and didn't really want to size up anyway, so it all worked out. Surgery and all the related procedure was excellent! You will feel safe, adequately prepared, and comfortable the entire time. They even present you with a thoughtful and luxurious gift to go home with you after your surgery (I'll refrain from spoiling the gift for you and leave that to be a mystery). Dr. Fryer personally called to check in later that day, and his nurse Shandell was super-friendly the next day. Dr. Fryer was not kidding when he said Victoria Secret would totally help me out in the bra-fitting process--they really did make it easy! Tamere at the South Towne location literally sized me perfectly on the first try! Week 1-2 Post-Op.: You will mostly hurt. A lot. And your back will ache. A lot. I bought a post-surgery sleep wedge system for my bed before-hand and that was really helpful because my boobs apparently didn't ever want me to lay on my back or my side for those first couple weeks. So buy one. And also, *hope* that your housework will just magically get done while you can't lift, push, or move anything during your 6 week weight-restricted recovery. 3 month Post-Op.: By now, you'll definitely feel that hope-for confidence and your body will feel fully recovered. One exception may be that strength training is a lot WEIRDER-feeling now as your muscles will contract over your implants, but I'm learning to ignore it and hoping that I will feel as strong as I used to as more time passes. You'll be more comfortable with the staff as you've seen them a few times now (Hi Courtney, Hi other lady at the front desk with super white teeth, Hi Nina, Hi Jennifer, Hi Shandell, Hi other nice nurse-ladies whose names I can't remember). Photos get taken at this final appointment. Dr. Fryer will come in and tell you your boobs are fantastic (yeah yeah, thanks,…I paid you to say that) and to come back in ten years for a new set. If you have nothing but online reviews to base your decision from like I did, you will not be disappointed with choosing Premier Plastic Surgery. Dr. Fryer is kind, professional, and very personable. I will definitely choose them again in the future!

24 Year Old, Problem Areas Include Stomach and Love Handles. Salt Lake City, UT

I tried posting a moment ago but was logged off. So apologies if I am posting twice in a row. :) I first heard of Cool Sculpting years ago when I lived in California. Always wanted to try it around my stomach and love handles where I am "doughy" (is doughy even a word?) That has always been my problem areas. It took six treatments to go around my waist but, I must say, I LOVE MY RESULTS. I didn't take measurements beforehand but I am definitely down a pant size. I have read many other review. My treatment wasn't as painful as others. There was an intense pinch for the first 10 minutes, but otherwise relatively comfortable. The facility I went to (Clarity Skin) had an ipod with Netflix, which I thought was pretty cool. I shopped around and found that the average cost was about $600. Clarity was having a sale so I got each treatment for $500, which was excellent. I would suggest for anyone interested in getting Cool Sculpting to call around. If you put in the work, you can find a good deal. The only negative is it did take 2 weeks to get me in for treatment. I was hoping to have results by Christmas, which did not happen. Other than that, had a great experience. Highly recommend this to anyone struggling with "doughyness" (is doughyness a word?)

Clarity Skin in Utah - Utah, UT

The outcome it's unbelievable, my love handles are gone for good. I can't wait to come back to treat another areas in my body. I am very happy with the results! The precedure was painless, it was finalized in timely manner, and I didn't experience any side effects. I started to see results rapidly, soon after the normal inflammation went down.

CO2 Facial Laser Resurfacing and Smart Lipo (Chin) Draper, UT

I am two weeks out from my procedure performed by Dr. Fryer. My entire experience has exceeded all of my expectations. From the thorough pre-procedure consultation and instruction through the procedure itself and follow-up care and appointments, I have been amazed by the professional, high quality care I have received from Dr. Fryer, his staff, and the follow-up care of his skin care professionals at Clarity Skin. I have two sons and one son-in-law that are doctors. They have also expressed their delight in my results and my husband is thrilled! Dr. Fryer is the plastic surgeon I will be recommending to all of my friends. Updated on 2 Oct 2015: Sheila - thank you for the suggestions. I will be going in to more detail and would love to answer questions, as well. Will be updating soon.

Didn't finish treatment, didn't listen and was rude

I went in after I had internal hemorrhaging last year under my right eye. I have some residual blood and I was very honest about filler I have had done but let her know that it has been dissolved. It's been dissolved four times as of today. I told her I have been to numerous doctors as well but I guess she needs to go back to school! She wasted my money and didn't offer to apologize at all. Her and the staff had some knowledge about the lasers but we're rude with saying to come all the way to SLC for treatment and that they would do this laser or that laser and then be dishonest and say different when I got there when nothing had changed for me. I will find a better provider with more education for sure. Jocelyn said she was going to do ipl and then they were completely inhumane! Do not waste your money here ladies!

Spend a lot of money on filler that didn't address my concerns

Mackenzie did not have an understanding of how to treat under eye wrinkles a few years ago. I needed a blephoroplasty and she wanted me to spend alot of money on filler that didn't address my concerns. A waste of money and innatention to her patients needs. I received a bleph from a very talented surgeon years later and encourage Mackenzie to not give eye advice as she is very under qualified. She is just a nurse! Don't go here.

What You Should Know About Zeltiq's Policies Before You Commit...Draper, UT

After going in for a consult with Clarity Skin in Draper, Utah, I was SO excited about this procedure, so I purchased a single session. The total amount paid was $2,100. The procedure was performed on July 12, 2016 and entailed having 6 applicators (2 at a time) applied to targeted areas in the upper and lower abdomen and lower back (flanks/love handles) over roughly a 3 hour period. The claims from both Clarity Skin and Zeltiq about the results of the procedure were that after 1 application, I would experience a 20% reduction in fat cells in the targeted areas. From the website: “The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure actually reduces the number of fat cells in treated areas by about 20% to 25%.” “The result? Treated fat cells are gone for good. Those stubborn fat bulges start to disappear, leaving a more sculpted you. After your CoolSculpting treatment, you may not weigh less, but you’ll look thinner. And, your clothes will fit better, feel better, and look better!”When I asked the clinician what would happen if the procedure did not work, I was assured that I was a great candidate as I wasn’t overweight and just had some problem areas, I would be very happy with the results and that IF in the slight chance that no results were seen, they would review and make sure I was satisfied. The first two weeks post-procedure were painful to the point that it was difficult to sleep and the areas treated couldn't be touched without pain. I was made aware that this was a possibility and was still very hopeful for good results.I logged measurements and took pictures for 7 weeks and again at week 13 (I'll post soon, although there's nothing to see :) ). During post-procedure follow ups at weeks 4 and 8 I expressed concern that there was no noticeable difference and was told that some patients experience the greatest results between weeks 8 and 12. At a 13 week follow up, no changes had been experienced. The clinician did try to pinpoint areas that she thought looked different between the pictures they took, to which I explained that the week 8 and 12 pictures were taken at a farther distance and as a result, would of course make the person appear a bit smaller (watch for this!). She did not adjust the pictures to show results from the same distance. In discussing options, the clinician said that she thought I might see the “best” results if I were to go through a second procedure and then proceeded to tell me that Zeltiq would not look at my case for a potential refund as a “non-responder” until after a second procedure and even after that would ONLY refund the cost of the second procedure. This is not something that was explained initially and a second session was not a requirement to my treatment plan. Regardless, I was not willing to pay another 2k, only to wait another 3 months to have my case reviewed in the slight chance that I'd get only half of my money back and still be out 2k. I was especially worried because if I were to lose more weight or work out on my own during that time and had even a slight change in appearance, there'd be no chance for getting my money back as the only measurement of success for them is pictures (no inch measurement or BMI tests). Super disappointing and frustrating to say the least. The reasoning for the procedure/results not received as described could be due to a few things, all of which I would consider refund worthy:1. The process simply did not work for me, in which case, I should be viewed as a “non-responder” without having to pay for a second procedure and should be refunded in full.2. The clinician did not perform the procedure correctly, in which case, I should be refunded in full.3. The day of the procedure, the clinician told me that the applicators used had just been received the day before, were a new design by Zeltiq meant to shorten the procedure time and that I would be the first person they used them on. It’s possible that these applicators are faulty or not as effective as the previous design, in which case, I should be refunded in full.I truly hope that Zeltiq or Clarity Skin will take steps to rectify the situation. It sounds like this process does work for some, but for those of us where it doesn't work, the company and the clinics should stand by their advertisements and claims for their products and services. Updated on 26 Oct 2016: Clarity Skin gave me a call and they're working to remedy the situation. They truly do seem to believe in this product and its results, so I'm giving it a second shot with them...I'll keep the forum up-to-date. Crossing my fingers that a second treatment results in a visible difference!
