The procedure is designed to decrease deep creases along the chin and mouth, address loose skin along the neck, and reduce the formation of jowls beneath the chin. For our patient, many of her concerns did not require a full Facelift procedure, and could instead be targeted with a Mini Facelift.

This transformation was achieved with Dr. Marottas signature EZ Lift Plus. This variety of mini-facelift allows for an excellent degree of correction with less downtime and shorter incisions than a traditional facelift.

This patient had a necklift to treat jowls, loose skin and muscle in her neck. I did a necklift tightening up the lower SMAS as well. For the necklift I used an incision under the chin to tighten her neck muscle called the platysma. This technique is called a corset platysmaplasty. I also tightened the muscle laterally using a technique called a lateral platysmal window. Extra skin was removed using incision behind her ears and in her posterior hairline.
