This female patient in their mid-40s was not happy with the excess skin and fat in their outer thighs/hips. So, the patient underwent a wedge saddlebag removal. A wedge saddlebag removal procedure includes the use of general anesthesia and takes about 3-4 hours to complete. The wedge technique is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat over the saddlebag region. During the wedge procedure, an elliptical or football-shaped area of excess skin and fat is removed from the lateral hip or trochanteric region.
