ALMI (Autologous Lipocyte Micronized Injection) was used for facial rejuvenation on this 63 year old patient. With ALMI, her own tissues were used to restore lost volume around her nasolabial folds and to fill in the hollows below her eyes.

53 year old woman treated with ALMI. Patient was looking for a way to soften some of the harsh changes aging had brought to her face and wanted to recapture the femininity she felt was losing. The procedure afforded her about 40 cc of regenerative biologic cellular material to transfer to her face and restore the shape and proportion she had lost over time. Accordingly, the jawline was defined, midface recreated and furrows and gulleys- like the nasolabial folds, chin crease and marionette lines- were improvedby the appropriate addition of volume. Her lips were also enhanced. Changes like this restored the concentric curves we associate with the female face and brought back the female proportion which highlights the midface and over rides the lower face. The added benefit of ALMI is that now the regenerative material placed will act to repair and regenerate aging cells. Patient also underwent upper and lower eyelid lift and liposuction of the neck.

The patient desired rejuvenation of the midface and the forehead region primarily. The patient desired a more youthful angular facies. The patient underwent a deep plane facelift, nano fat transfer, and a tricophytic brow lift/forehead reduction under local anesthesia with oral sedation. Photos are 1 year postop. Photos show a leaner, more angular face with less melolabial folds and a drastically reduced forehead.

This 59 yo female smoker was interested in facial rejuvenation but not a surgical facelift- the risks that nicotine posed could create too many surgical complications. She had explored a variety of nonsurgical options but was not impressed with the results she had seen with heat and laser devices.She explored further and learned about Regenerative Medicine and the possibility of using her own bodys cells to restore structure and youth to her face. Dr. Mahony is one of the few physicians with the expertise to perform these procedures. One procedure in particular, the ALMI procedure, intrigued her. With this procedure, fat from her own body is processed to separate out the regenerative (stem) cells. These cells, in addition to PRP, are injected into the face for the purpose of not only adding lost volume, but also to regenerate aging cells which renew elastin, collagen, the skin matrix (thickness), hyaluronic acid (moisture) and more.
