This 45 year-old female patient had teeth with very old silver filings.  The teeth were cracking and the fillings were leaking resulting in more tooth decay.  We no longer have to grind the teeth down to nubs to use crowns to restore these teeth.  Now we can use extremely conservative porcelain fillings (called inlays and onlays) to restore and re-strengthen the teeth.  This patient had her old silver fillings removed and replaced with porcelain inlays.  This patient was very happy with her results.
