She stated that the physical weight was bothersome to her and that she both looked and felt tired. She stated that she did not usually wear a lot of eye makeup and wanted a treatment that would naturally open her eyes. We decided in consultation to perform an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) under local anesthesia in our office using mild sedation with valium. Procedure time was under an hour and stitches were removed on the 6th day. She was able to return to full activity 1 1/2 weeks after her procedure. Her results demonstrate unveiling of her upper lids along with correction of her pre-existing uneven lids (ie her left eye was significantly heavier/droopier pre-procedure).
