Transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty for eye bags

This young active woman presented with the concern of excessive heavy skin over both eyelids.  She had attempted botox and xeomin a number of times without sufficient correction of her concerns.  She presented to our office requesting a more definitive and long-lasting solution.Pre-procedure exam demonstrated significant excess loose upper eyelid skin with reasonably elevated eyebrows.  Thus we agreed that an upper blepharoplasty would be a good option for her rejuvenation.Only under local anesthesia and mild oral sedation with xanax, we performed an upper blepharoplasty in our office.  Procedure time was 45 minutes and she was able to drive herself to the office the next day for her 24-hour follow up appointment.  Sutures were removed 5 full days after procedure.Her results demonstrate a natural opening of both eyes so that both of her lids were now prominently visible.  She stated that she looked and felt more awake since she did not have as much skin sitting over her eyes.  She also noted that makeup application was much easier with less skin to navigate.

Upper and Lower Lid Blepharplasty

Treated with Blepharoplasty Both Upper Lids and Excision Herniated Orbital Fat Both Lower Lids with CO2 Laser.

This woman presented to our Center with the concerns of excessively heavy upper eyelids.  She stated that the physical weight was bothersome to her and that she both looked and felt tired.  She stated that she did not usually wear a lot of eye makeup and wanted a treatment that would naturally open her eyes.  We decided in consultation to perform an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) under local anesthesia in our office using mild sedation with valium.  Procedure time was under an hour and stitches were removed on the 6th day.  She was able to return to full activity 1 1/2 weeks after her procedure.  Her results demonstrate unveiling of her upper lids along with correction of her pre-existing uneven lids (ie her left eye was significantly heavier/droopier pre-procedure).
