Our patient came to Dr. Timothy Katzen because the excess fat and skin in his bilateral breasts had become aesthetically unappealing and made his chest look heavier than he wanted. He is a 75-year-old White male who wanted a long-lasting solution for a flatter, more defined chest. Dr. Katzen recommended gynecomastia correction with bilateral chest reduction, a procedure designed to reduce chest fullness and remove sagging skin simultaneously. Under general anesthesia, Dr. Katzen carefully planned the chest reduction so both sides would be improved evenly and the final contour would look natural. During surgery, he removed the excess fatty tissue and redundant skin from the bilateral breasts, reshaping the chest into a firmer and more masculine profile. In a chest reduction surgery, it is important not only to flatten the chest but also to preserve smooth transitions across the upper chest so the result does not look overdone. After reducing the excess tissue, Dr. Katzen re-draped the remaining skin and refined the contour to improve symmetry and chest definition. The incisions were then closed in multiple layers to reduce tension and support scar healing. Gynecomastia Bilateral Chest Reduction for Excess Fat and Loose Skin.

Our patient is a 35-year-old White male who came to Dr. Timothy Katzen because he was unhappy with the appearance of his chest and nipples and wanted a flatter, more masculine contour. Dr. Katzen recommended gynecomastia surgery with a chest reduction, nipple and areola relocation, and a chest lift to improve the shape, position, and overall balance of the chest. Under general anesthesia, Dr. Katzen began by carefully marking the chest to identify excess tissue, loose skin, and the ideal new position for the nipple areola complex. During surgery, excess breast tissue and unwanted chest fullness were removed to reduce the enlarged appearance of the chest. Because skin excess was also part of the problem, Dr. Katzen performed a chest lift to tighten and reshape the remaining skin on the chest so the final contour would look flatter and firmer. The nipple and areola were then relocated to a more natural, youthful position that better matched the newly contoured male chest. This step is especially important in more significant gynecomastia cases because reducing volume alone may still leave the nipples too low or stretched. Once the contour and nipple placement were refined, the incisions were closed in layers to support healing and scar maturation. Our patient is a 44-year-old White male who previously reached 315 pounds and lowered his weight to 165 pounds through diet and exercise, an extraordinary accomplishment that still left behind excess skin and fullness in the chest. To address this, Dr. Timothy Katzen performed gynecomastia surgery under general anesthesia, combining chest liposuction with a chest lift as part of his larger post-weight-loss transformation. The liposuction portion removed excess fat from the chest, helping reduce bulk and refine the contour in a smoother, more sculpted way.
