This patient had a large benign left breast cancer removed. She opted to have oncoplastic surgery to improve shape and contour. She also wanted to have a symmetrizing procedure on the right side.

Patient underwent a silicone breast augmentation to correct her asymmetry.  The use of different size and profile implants for each side allowed her to achieve a much more symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing result.

35-44 year old woman treated with Breast Implant Removal, Breast Lift, Breast Reconstruction

This 48 year old female patient unfortunately developed a very aggressive form of bilateral breast cancer and required bilateral mastectomies (removal of both breasts) with bilateral nipple areolar complex removal. Dr. Katzen found this to be a complicated case because the patient had actively smoked cigarettes, did not have much abdominal or body fat, and had extensive scar throughout both breasts. In addition, the patient had received radiation and chemotherapy after their bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Katzen then performed a staged bilateral breast reconstruction with bilateral abdominal skin and rectus muscle (TRAM flap), bilateral back skin and muscle flap (latissimus dorsi flap), and bilateral silicone implants. Given the patients history of breast cancer, mastectomies, post-operative radiation and chemotherapy.

45-54 year old woman treated with Breast Reconstruction

This woman had a breast implant infection soon after she had undergone breast implant surgery by another surgeon. After having her infected implants removed. Dr. Haworth confirmed that any signs of infection had long since disappeared and so he performed a sub muscular (under the pectoralis major muscle) breast augmentation utilizing Silicone Memory Gel implants.

This patient had subtle constriction deformity of her breasts leading to a downward pointing nipple-areolar complex (NAC) bilaterally as well as a tight lower pole (with a decreased distance from the lower edge of her areola to her breast crease) but her left NAC was not only pointing downward but also outward as well.

Dr.Haworth performed a breast augmentation utilizing Mentor Memory Gel Silicone Implants, in a dual-plane position (partially under the muscle) in addition to a NAC lift. The NAC lift was designed not only to elevate the same but also move the left NAC more to the midline.

She had bilateral breast cancer. This required bilateral complete mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation.  She requested bilateral breast reconstruction.  She required bilateral breast implants and a TRAM flap. A TRAM flap is transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap. Skin, fat, and a small strip of the rectus muscle were flipped and used to reconstruct the breasts. The patient also had repair of abdominal wall hernia and a tummy tuck. The skin that you see on the breast  is from the abdomen.  At a later date, she has nipples tattooed.

55-64 year old woman treated with Breast Reconstruction

This is a 53 year old White female who is 56 and weighs 118 pounds. She had raw silicone injected in her breasts in 1999 and experienced complications. She went to Dr. Katzen to have the silicone removed and had breast reconstruction, specifically, breast augmentation with implants. She is happy with the results and the decision to remove the raw silicone injections from her breasts.

This is a patient is in her mid 40s. Approximately 20 years ago, she had silicone injected into her breasts. The silicone had caused a whole host of problems including pain, rashes, and severe breast deformity. She had undergone breast reconstruction with resulting synmastia or unibreast. She underwent another corrective breast surgery with Dr. Katzen for definitive removal of free breast silicone injections into the breast. At the same time, she underwent removal and replacement of bilateral breast implants and creation of cleavage and elimination of synmastia or unibreast.
