This very active woman in her 60s presented with the complaint of excessive drooping of her neck and jawline. She stated that she never had a strong profile even in her younger years, and wished for more definition and a decrease in the overall heaviness of her face. Examination revealed significant laxity of her jawline and neck tissue, along with a moderately undersized chin.We decided together to perform a lower facelift and neckift, along with adding a silicone chin implant to increase her profile definition.The entire procedure was performed under local anesthesia (no IV or general anesthesia) with oral sedation with xanax. The entire procedure took 2 1/2 hours to perform. Her results demonstrate significant improvement in her jawline angle as well as marked improvement in her neck profile.

The patient underwent a high lateral SMAS face and necklift. The SMAS elevation supports the facelift so that their is minimal tension on the skin and enhance the possible longevity of the face and necklift. Along with the face and necklift she also had fat transfer to the face. Fat was transferred tough out the face and temples to restore the volume she has lost over time as we age. The combination of tightening and filling of the face gives her a much more youthful but natural appearance. This pictures show her two month result.

This patient presented with the desire to lessen the heaviness of her lower face and neck. She shared that she had attempted Ultherapy and threads without any significant result, leading her to seek our Center. Her initial exam demonstrated significant jowling in her lower face, along with significant fat in her neck with sagging skin.We agreed upon performing a lower facelift and necklift under local anesthesia in our Center. True procedure time was slightly under 2 hours. Stitches were removed on post-operative days 7 and 12. With her hair down in front of her ears, she looked presentable at day 10 as most of the remaining swelling and bruising were around her ears.

This patient came to me on a mission, which was to fight the aging process. Although noninvasive and minimally invasive procedures are appropriate in this situation, she made it clear that she was not looking for fillers or botox. She wanted her face back to where it was a few years ago. I created a treatment plan which involved performing a lower facelift under local anesthesia. Although she had some mild-moderate swelling after the procedure, she was out in public within 3 days. Her bruising was almost nonexistent. Her after picture is about 12 months from the time of her procedure.
