	Gynecomastia or male breast reduction corrects the over-developed or enlarged breasts of men. Breast Reduction is done under general anesthesia. Incisions are made around the pigmented area (the nipple areolar complex) and extend vertically below the nipple and in the fold under the breast. The nipple areolar complex is moved upward to the desired location, while excess breast tissue, skin, and fat are removed.

Man Boobs or Gynaecomastia can have a variety of causes like certain medication, hormonal imbalance, adiposity, drugs, medical conditions of the liver or thyroid, or simply a remainder from puberty.An operation is the only true method to get rid of true gynaecomastia, and we usually perform a 1 hour op combining Liposuction with excision of the tough breast tissue  sometimes also reducing excess skin if necessary.

	This patient is a 44 year old who was interested in a male breast reduction. During surgery I removed over 150 grams of glandular tissue from the left chest and approximately 50 grams from the right due to a preoperative asymmetry. I also performed power-assisted liposuction to flatten out and blend the areas of fat excess.

	This patient is a 28 year old who was interested in a male breast reduction. In surgery, I removed approximately 12 grams of glandular tissue from the right side and 24 grams from the left, in addition to approximately 200cc of fat from each side.


This 26 year old male presented with excessively prominent breasts. Power-assisted liposuction corrected his gynecomastia.
