This woman presented with the concerns of heavy and droopy eyes, along with sagging of her lower face and neck. Examination revealed excessive hooding over her eyes as well as lax and wrinkled skin underneath her eyes. Her lower face aging was in part due to a deficient chin and the natural effects of gravity and age which presented as jowling and a turkey/chicken neck.The plan we decided on was a lower facelift and necklift along with a silicone chin implant to improve her profile and jawbone angles. We also decided on an upper blepharoplasty for her eyes to address the hooding, and fractional CO2 lasering under her eyes for the wrinkled/worn out skin.All treatments were performed in the same sitting under local anesthesia in our office. Oral sedation was given with xanax as no IV or general anesthesia was necessary. Total surgical time to complete all procedures was 3 (three) hours. Most sutures were removed on day 6, and the remainder at day 12. She was able to return to full physical activity 14 days after procedure with minimal limitations.Her results demonstrate significant improvement in her eyes, as she can now see her eyelids and apply makeup. The skin under her eyes is significantly tighter compared to pre-laser comparison. Her neck and jawline are much more defined with improved sharper angles while still keeping a natural appearance.

This woman presented with drooping of the upper eyelids, heavy under eye bags, and fullness in her chin that just bothered her! Dr Woodman listened to her concerns and provided a conservative approach that gave fantastic results. Removing excess skin from the upper eyelids, some of the excess fat that filled out the lower lid (some of us with hollow under eyes WISH we had that fat under there!), and a bit of lipo below the chin were the only incision points, with the only scar left visible being a tiny one under the chin. The laser Blepharoplasty (Upper Eyelid surgery technique we use) scar is hidden within the natural crease, the lower incision is in the lash line- you will never see it!To finish, Dr Woodman gave her an overall CO2 resurfacing refresh, and the results speak for themselves.

We rolled out the red carpet for this lovely patient! As we age, our skin loses its fight with gravity and drooping can impact us in different areas, so its not a one-size-fits-all packaging. For this patient, her aging was focused down the center of her face rather than down the jowls, which tends to be most common in women. So for her, Dr Woodman went with a Brow lift to focus on the eyes to brighten and lighten the center focal point, then give her a strong chin before using his signature Deep Plane Facelift technique to set her face and neck lift, aligning her muscular structure flawlessly so her skin is not stretched unnaturally.Typically, our after photos for facelift patients are taken after six months, because as you will see, this patient still has some swelling (the face can take up to twelve months to fully heal!!!), but she is SO pleased with her results she wanted us to show off Dr Woodman's work now.

This patient is a 62-year-old woman from North Idaho concerned about the typical changes of the aging face which include: wrinkles, texture changes, fine lines, volume loss, laxity, and facial drooping of the cheeks and at the corners of the mouth. She also has concerns about love handles and varicose veins. All of these issues were addressed and the patient was evaluated with a Visia computerized digital complexion analysis. The most striking issue was the loss of volume in the midface and a tear trough deformity which typically causes our patients to complain of either dark circles under the eyes or bags under the eyes. Treatment recommendations consisted of CO2 fractional resurfacing, dermal fillers, and Smartlipo body sculpting for the muffin tops. Choosing to get the most bang for the buck, we agreed on facial rejuvenation and volume restoration with JUVDERM Ultra XC and JUVEDERM Ultra Plus XC, which is formulated with the numbing medication Lidocaine for more comfort during the procedure. We placed a total of 6 syringes of the dermal filler in the tear troughs, midface, and at the corners of the mouth (oral commissure). As you can see, this created a fresher, more rested, and younger look without looking artificial or plastic. Many of our dermal filler patients are thrilled with the immediate improvement that fillers create in a procedure that is comfortable for them and takes less than an hour.

Our patient featured here underwent a rhinophyma resurfacing 25 years ago and decided this year it was time for some fine tuning. We used a scalpel and an Erbium laser to resurface his nose for better contouring (and breathing). He is 6 weeks out from the procedure and was nice enough to allow us to share there photos. We expect it to continue to settle over the next few months to a year.
