Melasma that is not responsive to weaker Glycolic AHA peels can be treated with a higher strength TCA peel. This photo shows the results after a 30% single coat TCA peel with an acetone scrub. The key is to remain on bleaching agents, vitamin A creams, and above all, SPF 50+ twice a day, and avoid sun exposure.
